Micah Saltzberg comes to Spalding after spending four years as an assistant baseball coach at Shenandoah University. A University of Maryland graduate, he spent the summer of 2022 as the head coach of the Waccamaw Naturals in the Ripken Experience Collegiate League.
With the Hornets, Saltzberg was part of a staff that won a conference championship and hosted a regional. He served as the 1B coach for Shenandoah and was the defensive coach for the catchers. His catchers threw out 40% of would-be base stealers.
In college, Saltzberg was the team manager and video coordinator for Maryland. He provided the Terrapins assistance with logistics and operations as well as analyzing statistics and video footage.
